Extra Mural activites

At Allandale Primary School, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Our extra-mural activities are designed to complement academic development while nurturing creativity, leadership, teamwork and personal growth. Every learner is encouraged to explore new interests, develop their talents and build confidence in a supportive and inclusive environment. These opportunities help learners discover their passions, strengthen life skills and enjoy a well-rounded school experience.

Speech and Drama

Speech and Drama encourages learners to explore the art of expression, creativity and effective communication in a supportive and imaginative environment. Through a wide range of engaging activities -such as role-playing, improvisation, voice training, and storytelling students are given the opportunity to discover their unique voices and perspectives. These experiences not only build confidence in public speaking and performance but also nurture critical thinking, empathy and emotional awareness. As learners collaborate and present their ideas, they refine their language abilities, enhance their listening and interpersonal skills and develop the poise to express themselves clearly and authentically in any setting. Ultimately, Speech and Drama empowers individuals to communicate with impact, connect meaningfully with others and embrace creativity as a lifelong skill.

Ballet

Ballet is a classical form of dance that combines grace, precision and artistic expression. It encourages learners to develop strength, flexibility, coordination and discipline while fostering creativity and an appreciation for the performing arts. Through structured training in posture, technique and movement, students gain confidence in both individual performance and group choreography. Ballet also cultivates musicality, spatial awareness and concentration, helping learners refine their physical and mental focus.

Eco Club

The Eco Club inspires learners to explore, appreciate and care for the natural environment while fostering a sense of responsibility for the world around them. Through a variety of hands-on activities -such as gardening, recycling projects, nature walks and environmental campaigns -students gain practical experience in protecting and conserving natural resources. These activities help learners develop a deeper understanding of sustainability, biodiversity and ecological balance, while also encouraging critical thinking about the impact of human actions on the planet. Participation in the Eco Club nurtures teamwork, problem-solving and leadership skills, as students collaborate to design and implement initiatives that make a positive difference.
